Refund policy
MONACO AUTO — RETURN & REFUND POLICY
Last Updated: September 27, 2026
The short version
We want you to love your new parts. Because exterior parts are usually cut, drilled, painted or bonded during installation, we can't accept returns for a change of mind. But if something is wrong on our end, we'll make it right.
You're covered if:
-
your part has a manufacturing defect, or doesn't fit because of one;
-
we sent you the wrong part; or
-
your part arrived damaged in shipping.
To keep things quick and easy:
-
Check your part as soon as it arrives (or at pickup) and let us know about any issue within 48 hours.
-
Always test-fit before painting, drilling, cutting or permanently installing.
-
If something looks off, stop and message us first. Send your order number, your vehicle, and a few photos.
Approved claims can be replaced, exchanged, repaired or refunded to your original payment method. Not sure a part fits your car? Reach out before you order and we'll gladly help.
The full details are below.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.
1. ALL SALES FINAL
Unless specifically stated otherwise, purchases from Monaco Auto are FINAL SALE.
We do not accept returns or exchanges simply because:
- the customer changed their mind;
- the customer no longer wants the product;
- the customer ordered the wrong product;
- the customer selected the wrong year, model, trim, bumper, chassis, or body style;
- the customer misunderstood the product;
- the customer does not like the appearance or style after receiving it;
- the customer decided not to install it;
- the customer found the product elsewhere for a different price;
- the customer sold or changed vehicles;
- installation costs more than expected;
- the customer’s installer refuses or is unable to install it; or
- the customer no longer needs the product.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the product description and confirming that they are ordering the correct product before completing their purchase.
2. EXCEPTIONS
Monaco Auto will review a return, replacement, exchange, or refund request where the customer reasonably claims that:
- the product has a manufacturing defect;
- a manufacturing defect prevents the product from fitting its confirmed intended application;
- Monaco Auto supplied a materially incorrect product; or
- the product was damaged during shipping.
A claim does not automatically mean that a refund or replacement has been approved.
Monaco Auto may first inspect the product and request reasonable evidence to determine the cause of the issue.
3. STRICT NO-RETURN CONDITION AFTER MODIFICATION
Do not modify a product if you believe something is wrong with it.
Except where otherwise required by law, Monaco Auto may refuse a return, exchange, refund, or defect claim where the product has been materially altered before Monaco Auto had a reasonable opportunity to review the claimed issue.
This includes products that have been:
- drilled;
- cut;
- trimmed;
- sanded;
- painted;
- wrapped;
- permanently bonded;
- glued;
- repaired;
- reshaped;
- permanently installed;
- structurally modified; or
- otherwise materially altered.
If something appears wrong during test-fitting, stop immediately and contact Monaco Auto.
Continuing to modify or permanently install a product after discovering an apparent issue may make it impossible to determine whether the original product, installation, modification, or vehicle caused the problem.
4. TEST-FITTING
Customers and installers should inspect and carefully test-fit exterior components before permanent installation or modification.
Test-fitting should be performed without unnecessarily damaging, forcing, cutting, drilling, sanding, or permanently modifying the product.
If a fitment problem becomes apparent during test-fitting, stop installation and contact Monaco Auto before proceeding.
5. MANUFACTURING DEFECTS
A manufacturing defect is a material problem with the product that existed when supplied and prevents it from reasonably performing or fitting as represented.
Depending on the product, examples may include:
- materially incorrect dimensions caused by manufacturing;
- materially misplaced mounting points;
- missing or malformed mounting features;
- structural manufacturing damage;
- substantial deformation attributable to manufacturing;
- significant manufacturing flaws preventing proper installation; or
- another material production defect.
Normal characteristics of aftermarket manufacturing are not automatically manufacturing defects.
6. WHAT IS NOT A MANUFACTURING DEFECT
A manufacturing defect generally does not include:
- customer installation damage;
- installer damage;
- damage caused by forcing the product into position;
- damage from incorrect tools or installation techniques;
- damage caused while drilling, trimming, cutting, sanding, painting, or wrapping;
- incorrect vehicle information;
- ordering the wrong application;
- incompatibility with an undisclosed aftermarket component;
- previous accident damage to the vehicle;
- non-factory vehicle dimensions;
- vehicle modifications;
- ordinary adjustment reasonably associated with aftermarket exterior components;
- reasonable manufacturing tolerances;
- minor cosmetic variation;
- normal carbon-fibre weave variation; or
- damage occurring after delivery.
7. FITMENT CLAIMS
A product not fitting does not automatically mean that the product is defective.
Fitment can depend on:
- model year;
- trim;
- chassis;
- bumper style;
- facelift or pre-facelift configuration;
- body style;
- factory options;
- previous collision repairs;
- replacement body panels;
- aftermarket bumpers;
- aftermarket trunks;
- other aftermarket components;
- previous vehicle modifications; and
- installation technique.
Monaco Auto may require evidence before determining that a manufacturing defect exists.
8. EVIDENCE REQUIRED FOR FITMENT CLAIMS
For a fitment claim, customers may be required to provide:
- order number;
- vehicle year;
- make and model;
- trim;
- photographs of the entire vehicle;
- photographs of the applicable bumper, trunk, body panel, or mounting area;
- photographs of the Monaco Auto product;
- photographs showing the product positioned against the vehicle;
- photographs of mounting points;
- product labels or part numbers;
- measurements; and
- video showing the claimed fitment problem.
Additional information may reasonably be requested where necessary to determine the cause.
Do not permanently modify the product while the claim is being reviewed.
9. AFTERMARKET VEHICLES AND COMPONENTS
Products designed for factory body components are not automatically guaranteed to fit aftermarket replacement components.
For example, a lip designed around an OEM bumper may not correctly fit every aftermarket reproduction bumper.
Likewise, spoilers, diffusers, grilles, mirror caps, trunks, hoods, fenders, and other components may be affected by previous replacement or modification of the mounting surface.
Unless Monaco Auto specifically confirmed compatibility with a particular aftermarket component, incompatibility between independently manufactured aftermarket products does not automatically constitute a defect in the Monaco Auto product.
10. CUSTOMER ORDERS THE WRONG PRODUCT
Customers are responsible for confirming their vehicle and selecting the correct product.
If Monaco Auto supplied exactly what was ordered, but the customer selected the wrong:
- vehicle;
- generation;
- year;
- trim;
- chassis;
- bumper;
- body style;
- facelift;
- configuration; or
- product,
the purchase remains final sale unless Monaco Auto voluntarily agrees otherwise.
Monaco Auto is not required to accept a return because the customer ordered the wrong application, except where required by law.
11. FITMENT ADVICE PROVIDED BY MONACO AUTO
When Monaco Auto specifically confirms fitment based on vehicle information supplied by the customer, that confirmation depends on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.
Customers must disclose relevant vehicle modifications or replacement body components when requesting fitment assistance.
If Monaco Auto materially misidentifies the correct application despite receiving accurate and sufficient vehicle information, Monaco Auto will review the situation and provide an appropriate remedy where applicable.
12. INCORRECT PRODUCT SENT BY MONACO AUTO
If Monaco Auto sends a materially different product from the product ordered, contact Monaco Auto before attempting installation.
Customers may be required to provide photographs of:
- the product;
- packaging;
- shipping label;
- SKU;
- product label; and
- other identifying information.
Once Monaco Auto confirms the fulfilment error, an appropriate remedy will be provided.
Reasonable return shipping resulting solely from a confirmed Monaco Auto fulfilment error will be handled by Monaco Auto.
13. SHIPPING DAMAGE
Products damaged during transportation are handled under Monaco Auto’s Shipping Policy.
If a shipment arrives damaged:
STOP. DO NOT INSTALL OR MODIFY THE PRODUCT.
Photograph the:
- outer packaging;
- shipping label;
- internal packaging;
- entire product; and
- specific damage.
Keep all packaging until Monaco Auto confirms it is no longer required.
14. INSTALLATION DAMAGE
Damage occurring during installation is not considered a manufacturing defect.
This includes damage caused by:
- forcing components together;
- overtightening hardware;
- improper drilling;
- incorrect trimming;
- incorrect adhesive;
- improper heat application;
- dropping the product;
- incorrect mounting;
- failing to transfer required factory components; or
- other improper installation procedures.
Monaco Auto strongly recommends professional installation where appropriate.
15. THIRD-PARTY INSTALLERS
A statement from a mechanic, body shop, installer, dealership, or other third party that a product “doesn’t fit” does not by itself establish that the product is defective.
Monaco Auto may request photographs, measurements, video, vehicle information, or return of the product to independently evaluate the claim.
Third-party installers do not have authority to approve refunds, replacements, warranties, or reimbursements on behalf of Monaco Auto.
16. INSTALLATION AND LABOUR COSTS
Customers are responsible for inspecting and test-fitting products before incurring significant installation, painting, wrapping, fabrication, or modification expenses.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Monaco Auto does not reimburse third-party:
- installation labour;
- removal labour;
- body-shop charges;
- diagnostic charges;
- painting;
- wrapping;
- fabrication;
- trimming;
- towing;
- storage;
- rental vehicles; or
- vehicle downtime
unless Monaco Auto expressly agrees in writing before the expense is incurred or reimbursement is otherwise required by law.
17. COSMETIC VARIATION
Minor cosmetic differences inherent to aftermarket manufacturing are not automatically defects.
Reasonable variation may occur in:
- surface finish;
- texture;
- mould marks;
- edges;
- material appearance;
- gloss;
- carbon-fibre weave;
- resin appearance;
- clear coat; and
- other minor manufacturing characteristics.
A cosmetic issue that materially differs from the product description or materially affects the product will be reviewed separately.
18. CARBON-FIBRE PRODUCTS
Carbon-fibre products naturally vary from unit to unit.
Reasonable variation in weave positioning, alignment, symmetry, resin appearance, surface characteristics, and clear-coat appearance does not automatically qualify as a manufacturing defect.
Significant structural or manufacturing defects remain subject to review.
19. CLAIM DEADLINE
Customers should inspect products immediately after delivery or pickup.
Visible damage, incorrect products, manufacturing defects, or apparent fitment problems should be reported to Monaco Auto as soon as reasonably possible after discovery.
For efficient claim handling, Monaco Auto requests that visible issues be reported within 48 hours of delivery or pickup.
The 48-hour reporting request does not eliminate any legal right or remedy that cannot lawfully be limited.
20. CLAIM REVIEW
Monaco Auto may require reasonable time and evidence to investigate a claim.
Depending on the circumstances, Monaco Auto may:
- review photographs or video;
- verify vehicle fitment;
- compare product dimensions;
- inspect manufacturing characteristics;
- request additional evidence;
- request return of the product; or
- otherwise reasonably investigate the cause.
Do not discard the product while a claim is being reviewed.
21. AVAILABLE REMEDIES
If Monaco Auto verifies that a product has a material manufacturing defect, was materially misrepresented, was incorrectly supplied, or is otherwise subject to a remedy under applicable law, Monaco Auto will provide an appropriate remedy.
Depending on the circumstances, this may include:
- replacement;
- exchange;
- repair where appropriate;
- partial refund;
- full refund; or
- another remedy agreed upon with the customer.
The appropriate remedy depends on the circumstances and applicable law.
22. REFUNDS
Where a refund is approved, it will generally be returned to the original payment method.
Monaco Auto will process approved refunds within a reasonable period.
Banks, credit-card issuers, and payment providers may require additional time to post the refund after Monaco Auto submits it.
23. RETURN SHIPPING FOR APPROVED CLAIMS
Do not ship a product back to Monaco Auto without receiving return instructions.
Where Monaco Auto requires return of a product because of a confirmed Monaco Auto fulfilment error or verified defect for which Monaco Auto is responsible, reasonable return shipping will be handled as appropriate.
Unauthorized returns may be refused or delayed.
24. CLEARANCE, BLEMISHED AND DISCLOSED-DEFECT PRODUCTS
Products sold as:
- Clearance;
- Blemished;
- Scratch & Dent;
- Open Box;
- Imperfect;
- Disclosed Fitment Issue; or
- another equivalent designation
are FINAL SALE for the specifically disclosed condition to the maximum extent permitted by law.
A characteristic or defect clearly disclosed before purchase cannot reasonably form the basis of a claim that the same characteristic was undisclosed.
This does not eliminate rights relating to a materially different, undisclosed issue where applicable law provides a remedy.
25. SPECIAL ORDERS AND CUSTOM ORDERS
Special-order, custom-order, specifically imported, or individually sourced products are FINAL SALE for change-of-mind purposes where this condition was disclosed before purchase and applicable law permits.
Manufacturing defects, Monaco Auto fulfilment errors, and mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
26. LOCAL PICKUP
Customers collecting products locally should inspect the product before leaving where reasonably practical.
Customers are encouraged to inspect:
- general condition;
- visible damage;
- product style;
- major mounting features; and
- obvious discrepancies.
Taking possession confirms receipt and apparent condition but does not waive rights relating to latent manufacturing defects or other rights that cannot legally be waived.
27. EXCHANGES
Monaco Auto does not offer exchanges for change of mind or customer ordering errors as a matter of right.
Monaco Auto may voluntarily offer an exchange in individual circumstances, but doing so once does not create an obligation to offer exchanges in future cases.
Any voluntary exception is at Monaco Auto’s discretion to the extent permitted by law.
28. STORE CREDIT
Monaco Auto may voluntarily offer store credit in circumstances where a return would otherwise not be required.
Offering store credit is not an admission that a product was defective or that the customer was legally entitled to a refund.
29. CHARGEBACKS
Customers are encouraged to contact Monaco Auto about legitimate problems so the issue can be investigated.
Customers retain lawful rights available through their payment provider.
If a chargeback or payment dispute is initiated, Monaco Auto may provide relevant evidence including:
- order information;
- product information;
- checkout records;
- applicable policies;
- customer communications;
- fitment information;
- photographs;
- tracking;
- delivery confirmation; and
- claim investigation records.
Monaco Auto reserves the right to contest fraudulent, inaccurate, or materially misleading disputes.
30. FRAUD AND ABUSE
Monaco Auto may refuse discretionary assistance or future transactions where there is reasonable evidence of:
- return fraud;
- product substitution;
- deliberate damage;
- falsified fitment claims;
- altered photographs;
- false non-delivery claims;
- payment fraud; or
- other unlawful conduct.
This does not restrict legitimate complaints or lawful consumer rights.
31. NO AUTOMATIC REFUND
Submitting a claim, returning a product, receiving a return authorization, or providing photographs does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund.
Claims must first be reviewed according to this policy and applicable law.
32. CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or overrides any warranty, condition, remedy, refund right, cancellation right, or other consumer protection that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Ontario or Canadian law.
Where this policy conflicts with a mandatory legal requirement, the mandatory legal requirement prevails.
33. RELATED POLICIES
This Return & Refund Policy should be read together with Monaco Auto’s:
- Terms of Service;
- Shipping Policy;
- Legal Notice;
- Privacy Policy; and
- Warranty Policy, where applicable.
34. CONTACT
For a manufacturing defect, fitment issue, incorrect product, or shipping-damage claim, contact Monaco Auto using the contact information provided on our website.
Include your order number, vehicle information, photographs, and a description of the issue.
IMPORTANT — BEFORE INSTALLATION
ALL SALES ARE FINAL EXCEPT AS PROVIDED BY THIS POLICY OR REQUIRED BY LAW.
INSPECT AND TEST-FIT YOUR PRODUCT BEFORE PERMANENT INSTALLATION OR MODIFICATION.
IF SOMETHING APPEARS WRONG, STOP. DO NOT DRILL, CUT, TRIM, SAND, PAINT, WRAP, BOND, REPAIR, OR PERMANENTLY INSTALL THE PRODUCT. CONTACT MONACO AUTO FIRST.
